to talk about one’s lovey-dovey, happy relationship in a showy and braggy way

Additional Info

Some people do this indirectly/implicitly, like complaining about how “annoying” or “needy” their partner is. In that case, it is often regarded as 自虐風自慢 (“a humblebrag”). Its noun is 惚気 (のろけ). It is also often written as hiragana (のろける) or katakana (ノロケる)

Example

A: 彼氏が私の声聞きたいからって、毎日電話してくるんだよね〜
A: My boyfriend calls me every day because he wants to hear my voice.
B: 惚気るのやめてくれる?笑
B: Would you stop talking about your lovey-dovey relationship? lol
